Image dimensions determine how wide and tall a picture appears in a digital layout. The right pixel measurements help you prepare graphics for websites, profile photos, online forms, presentations, and social media placements without relying on guesswork.
Use this free browser-based editor to inspect the original size, enter a target width and height, and preview the resized result before saving it. Keep the aspect ratio locked for proportional resizing, or unlock it when a layout requires independent dimensions.

Image dimensions are the pixel measurements that describe a picture's width and height. An image measuring 1200 × 800 pixels is 1200 pixels wide and 800 pixels tall.
Aspect ratio describes the relationship between those two values. For example, 1200 × 800 has a 3:2 ratio. Maintaining that ratio helps prevent a photo from appearing unnaturally stretched.
Pixel dimensions are not the same as file size. A resized image may use fewer or more kilobytes depending on its format, image content, and compression settings. If your goal is a smaller download, resizing alone may not be enough.
